Canopy Impact Testing of Hürkuş-2 (TUSAŞ)

The canopy, one of the most important parts of aircraft, undergoes collision tests conducted in accordance with ASTM and TUSAS standards. These tests are performed in the Adnan Menderes University Civil Engineering Earthquake Performance Analysis Laboratory, utilizing our collision testing equipment.

The test processes are carried out in collaboration with the faculty members of the Department of Civil Engineering, graduate students, and the Volo company. As a result of these efforts, our domestic and national canopy is now integrated into our local aircraft!

The most recent tests concluded successfully with the canopy collision tests for our HÜRKÜŞ-2 aircraft.
