ABOUT ME
Dr. Mehmet Eren Uz is an Associate Research Fellow in Civil Engineering (Structural Engineering) at the University of Wollongong. Prior to working the University of Wollongong in 2014, he has been awarded Doctor of Philosophy in Structural Engineering from the University of Wollongong with Special Commendation following the completion of his master degree at the same university. Before then he was a bachelor (honours) student at the University of Dokuz Eylul.
He has developed a solid knowledge in advanced optimisation techniques in structural engineering, specifically related to building structures, and since the final year of his PhD study he has completed three research projects in structural engineering. His research is central on current ultimate capacity of a structural steel bolted connection, coated products for resilient Australian buildings and existing high steel intensity prefabricated construction systems. He is a member of the Institution of Engineers, Australia (IEAust) and the Australian Steel Institute (ASI).
